The ultimate way to delete SharePoint application service

i.e. Search Service Application:
stsadm.exe -o deleteconfigurationobject -id "[GUID]"

And that way you can get to know the id:
Get-SPServiceApplication |?{$_.name -eq "[ServiceApplicationName]"}
